Braga 2010 - Emerging Theme on Crisis Communication Call for Papers

braga_2010The Emerging Theme on Crisis Communication invites proposals for papers to be presented at the 2010 International Association for Media and Communication Research (IAMCR) Conference in Braga, Portugal, July 18-22, 2010. Papers from the full range of crisis communication research will be considered.

Key themes will include:

  • Rhetorical communication strategies in a digital age
  • Real pandemics and 'media pandemics'
  • The role of new social media in crisis communication
Abstracts of no more than 500 words should be submitted via the conference website by 31 January 2010. Announcement of acceptance: 15 March. Full papers are due by 30 April and should be submitted via the conference website.
