The Journalism Research & Education Section invites papers within the general theme of 'Cities, Connectivity and Creativity' with the aim to think creatively and holistically about solving problems of journalism that can transcend borders and offer different views of creativity, vitality and competitively within urban contexts to provide the appropriate structural conditions necessary for the development of journalism research and education. The Journalism Research & Education Section also accepts research and panel proposals that cover the five main themes below:

Authors interested in the Journalism Research & Education Section on-line publication will be requested to send their full papers after final modifications no later than September 2011. The review process includes a blind referee process of six members (steering committee) will review the research papers to optimize the quality of research in the best objective and professional level. The Journalism Research & Education Section invites submissions for its open sessions at the IAMCR that will be held Kadir Has University will host the 2011 IAMCR Conference in Istanbul, Turkey, July 13-17 2011. The theme for the 2011 conference will be 'Cities, Connectivity and Creativity'.
