Weather & Time Zone

Singapore enjoys a tropical climate with warm temperatures ranging from 25-33ºC throughout the year. Light, breathable clothing and an umbrella for occasional rainfall are recommended. Singapore follows Singapore Standard Time (GMT +8).

Power Supply

Singapore operates on a 220-240V AC electrical system (50Hz). Power plugs with three square prongs (Type G) are used.

Wireless Internet Access

Please note that Wi-Fi will be available at conference venues but not at the hall accommodation or around the campus. It is highly recommended that participants pre-purchase an e-Sim or Wi-Fi router online before the event.

Pre-purchase an e-Sim from Klook here. Prices start from SGD 4.75 for 1 GB per day for up to 5 days. Please reserve at least 3 days (72 hours) before your departure.

Pre-book a Wi-Fi Router from Changi Recommends. Prices start from SGD 10 per day (unlimited data), with up to 5 devices able to. Please reserve at least 3 days (72 hours) before your departure. To rent the device, complete the reservation form here with your contact details and the rental dates.

Collection: Pick up at Changi Recommends Booth in Changi Airport

Return and Payment: Return at the respective Changi Recommends booth indicated on the reservation form. Note that returns can only be made at the Arrival Hall. Payment is due upon the return of the Wi-Fi router. Billing starts on the day the Wi-Fi router is collected and ends on the day of return. Rental charges will be based on full days (Not fractional days).

Dining Etiquette & Food Options

NTU offers a variety of dining options across campus. Explore the food choices available during your visit.

It is an offence to leave trays and litter on tables in hawker centres, food courts and coffee shops. Please return your trays and crockery to the designated return stations. Learn more about the Clean Tables Campaign on the NEA website.

Smoking Areas

Smoking and vaping are strictly prohibited at the conference venue at Nanyang Technological University (NTU). More information can be found here. Smoking is also banned in buildings, food establishments, public transport hubs and sports facilities. Designated smoking areas are marked with signs.
