Communicating Environmental Justice:
Many Voices, One Health
13 - 17 July

IAMCR's 2025 conference will be hosted by the Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore from 13-17 July, 2025.

The theme of the conference, Communicating Environmental Justice: Many Voices, One Health, aims to shed light on the role of communication scholars and practitioners facing the global crisis of climate change, environmental precarity, and social injustice, with a particular focus on One Health, “the collaborative efforts of multiple disciplines working locally, nationally, and globally, to attain optimal health for people, animals and our environment”.

The conference theme echoes Many Voices, One World, the MacBride Report from UNESCO in 1980, which became a landmark for the New World Information and Communication Order (NWICO) movement globally. IAMCR 2025 can become a similar landmark for the evaluation and mobilisation of engaged scholarship to communicate environmental justice and promote it through plural yet united voices.

In the video below Jack Qiu, chair of the Local Organising Committee, extends an invitation to IAMCR members to join the conference. He also presents the conference theme as well as Nanyang Technological University's research and education profile and its facilities. Join us in Singapore in 2025.
