Thirteen travel grants of US$1,500 each have been awarded to support the participation of IAMCR members at our upcoming conference in Montreal.
The nine women and four men are from eleven different countries and will present papers to eleven of IAMCR's 31 sections and working groups.
The 2016 conference of the International Association for Media and Communication Research (IAMCR) will be held at the University of Leicester in the UK from July 27-31, 2016. The date coincides with the 50th anniversary celebrations of Leicester's Department of Media and Communication, founded in 1966 as the Centre for Mass Communication Research.
IAMCR is cooperating with the Centre for Interdisclipinary Research in Science and Humanities of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) to organise the International Forum on Gender, Media, ICTs, and Journalism: 20 years after the Beijing Action Platform. The forum will be held in Mexico City on May 27 and 28.
