Rollins' Will Rogers' 1920s: A Cowboy's Guide to the Times, referring to American culture and politics.
The inquiries delve into race, region and gender issues in Tracey Moffatt's BeDevil (1993) and in the American Indian literary pieces: Solar Storms by Linda Hogan, How We Became Human by Joy Harjo, The Way to Rainy Mountain by N. Scott Momaday, and Coming to Light by Brian Swann. This book includes a critical edition on a letter from David Palfreyman, Theatre Service Department, Motion Picture Association of America.
