The History (HIS) Section and the Gender and Communication (GEN) Section of IAMCR will support the 4th edition of the Media Conclave, to be held at Sister Nivedita University (SNU), Kolkata, India, from 18 to 20 September 2025.
Members of the Head of both sections (Carolina Matos and Christy Mady from GEN, and Wajiha Raza Rizvi from HIS) will join the event virtually, alongside other IAMCR members and colleagues from SNU’s School of Media.
Organised by the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication, the Conclave invites paper proposals from academics, technologists, and professionals to explore the role of media in representing marginal voices in contemporary society, the changing narratives surrounding them, and their impact on human lives.
