Dear IAMCR Community,
On behalf of the local organising committee, we are pleased to invite you to São Paulo for IAMCR 2027 next July, 18th to 22th.
As we begin preparing for the conference, we look forward to welcoming media and communication scholars from around the world to Brazil. As Latin America’s largest urban center, São Paulo is a complex, diverse metropolis shaped by a wide mix of cultures and perspectives. It offers a rich environment for academic dialogue, alongside a broad range of cultural institutions, dynamic street life, and a distinct food culture.
The conference will be hosted at the School of Communications and Arts (ECA) at the University of São Paulo (USP). Ranked among the leading research universities in Latin America, USP provides a solid framework for critical academic exchange. ECA/USP has a long history of research in media and communication studies, and our faculty and students are eager to contribute to the conversations and debates that define IAMCR.
IAMCR 2027 will provide an important space to reflect on current challenges in media, technology, and global communication. Beyond the academic program, we hope you will take the opportunity to explore the city, connect with colleagues, and engage with the local academic and activist community.
We invite you to mark your calendars, share the news with your departments, and join us at ECA/USP next year. We look forward to receiving you in São Paulo.
