Sadia Zamir is a PhD student in the Department of Media Studies, Institute of Communication Studies and Journalism, Faculty of Social sciences, Charles University in the Czech Republic.

She is originally from Pakistan but she has spent most of her life abroad due to work and academic obligations in the Middle East and Europe. She obtained her MS degree in linguistics from the International Islamic University in Pakistan. 

Sadia’s research focuses on media representation, Othering, and the discursive construction of democracy via international television news media. Professionally, she can be described as an educationist, media text analyst, and language teaching practitioner.

She has been working as a lecturer in the Department of English Language, at Qassim University, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Throughout her professional career, Sadia has participated in many academic/ scientific conferences. She has published research articles in peer-reviewed journals both independently and in collaboration with other authors.

Her primary motivation to become an IAMCR PhD Ambassador in Czechia is to contribute to the development of researchers by providing them with opportunities for collaboration and connections.
