Priyanka Sachdeva is presently pursuing Ph.D in Mass Communication on the topic “News Media Literacy: A Study of Youth in Delhi” from University School of Mass Communication at Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, State University, New Delhi, India. She is the former Assistant Professor in affiliated college of Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University. She has Qualified NET(National Eligibility Test) in Journalism and Mass Communication. She holds her Post Graduation and Graduation in Journalism and Mass Communication. Ms. Sachdeva is a Teaching Assistant at MOOC (Massive Open Online Courses) Course ‘Society and Media’ an initiative of University Grant Commission (UGC) and SWAYAM, Ministry of Education, Government of India. She has received appreciation for managing and performing the e-learning project of MOOCs ‘Society and Media’. Her major interest areas are Media Literacy, Journalism, youth studies, new media and research. 

Internationally, Ms. Sachdeva has participated and presented research papers across the globe in Canada, USA(Washington), London, Turkey, Thailand, China among others. She has actively participated and presented research papers across the country, on topics like “Changing Behaviour of Youth: A study on impact of new media on youth”, “Digital Media & Challenges”, “Digital News: A Source of Information” in Nagpur, Jaipur, Bihar, New Delhi among others. She has successfully completed the lifelong learning programme at the Centre for Education and lifelong Learning of Aristotle University of Thessalonki (2021). 

Ms. Sachdeva is writing extensively through research papers in peer reviewed national and international research journals on the topic ‘A Critical Education for 21st Century: A Study on Youth and Media Literacy’, ‘Is Fake News and Veracity Intermingled’ Changing Behaviour of Youth: A study on impact of New Media on Youth among others. She has contributed immensely towards Open Education resources through e-text in MOOC Course ‘Society and Media’ and‘Print and Broadcast Journalism’ an initiative of University Grant Commission (UGC) and SWAYAM, Ministry of Education, Government of India on the topic related to Media Literacy, Youth and Society, print media, TV formats and Radio News among others. She has contributed as Video Presenter in modules for the MOOC Course ‘Society and Media’ and ‘Printand Broadcast Journalism’. Recorded and presented video lectures on “News and Society” and “Development and Communication” for e- PG Pathshala by University Grant Commission (UGC) under the National Mission on Education through ICT (NME-ICT) an initiative by the Ministry of Human Resource and Development(MHRD), Government of India.
