Iffat Masood is pursuing her PhD at the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB) in Spain in the Department of Audiovisual Communication and Advertising. Her main research project, titled "Effects of Political Visual Images on Political Socialization among Young Social Media Users," focuses on political communication and social media. Iffat is passionate about research and communication strategies that support and convey exploratory conduct. Alongside her doctoral research, she is currently working on various research projects.
Iffat completed her master's degree in Mass Media and Communication, specialising in print media. After that, she pursued her M.Phil. in Philosophy of Communication and Media and wrote her thesis on "Effects of Political Advertising on Political Socialization of Pakistani Youth."
Iffat has five years of experience in mainstream media in Pakistan and also has two years of experience in academia. She is currently based in Barcelona, Spain, and works online with multiple research journals. She has presented her research articles through several online platforms and face-to-face interactions. Iffat is also a member of the "Grup de Recerca en Publicitat i Relacions Públiques" under the UAB Department of Advertising, Public Relations, and Audiovisual Communication.
