Law Section Call for Papers

The conference theme provides an excellent lens for thinking through contemporary transformations in law-state-society relations. Theme-related questions of particular interest from a legal and policy perspective include:

• How do regional differences in culture, economics, and politics affect the interpretation, implementation, and effects of law, regulation, and policy?

• How is legal globalization -- harmonization of the law across national boundaries -- affecting long-standing legal traditions at the regional level?

• How do laws, regulations, and policies affect the ability of regions to use information, communication, and culture to serve regional goals?

Submissions reporting on legal and policy research in other areas are actively welcomed as well. Abstracts should be 300-500 words in length.

All abstract submissions must be made via the online Open Conference System (OCS) at http://www.iamcr-ocs.org. The Law Section accepts only one paper per author. Proposals should only be proposed to one section or working group.
