Statement

What does it take to be human? How important is communication in stimulating this process and how can we institute better interactions to further meaningful engagements and community building for our mutual holistic development. These are some of the fundamental questions I would work towards if chosen to the International Council body at IAMCR’s Executive Council Board.

Hello, I am Dr. Tilak Jha, a former BBC China hand, currently Associate Professor of Journalism at Bennett University. I teach radio, mass communication theory and research, and papers on polity, economy, and philosophy to media, film and liberal arts students. An alumnus of Jawaharlal Nehru University, Zhejiang University, and AJK Mass Communication Research Centre, Jamia, Millia Islamia, I am a regular contributor to media, public policy, and international relations issues debates. I have also attained a Certificate in Public Policy from Indian School of Business, Hyderabad, in Successful Negotiation Strategies from Stephen M. Ross School of Business, University of Michigan and Introduction to Philosophy from University of Edinburg.

I am also an Editorial Board member of Springer Nature journal Discover Global Society and Guest Editor of its Collection entitled - Water, Society and Governance: Local and Global Dimensions (https://link.springer.com/collections/abdcjjeiai).
