The International Association for Media and Communication Research (IAMCR) will hold its annual Congress IAMCR MADRID 2019, at the School of Communication of the Complutense University of Madrid, Spain, from 7 through 11 July, 2019.
Year after year, the IAMCR congresses debate and define a wide variety of issues in the field of media and communication. These debates are held both in plenary and special sessions, and in Working Groups. The principal theme of this year’s IAMCR MADRID 2019 Congress – Communication, Technology and Human Dignity – aims to generate a cross-disciplinary debate throughout the congress, which will examine the issues involved from differing and interacting perspectives.
Undergraduate, Master and doctoral students from all continents are welcomed as participants in the congress.
Five scholarships of 500€ (euros) are offered to final year undergraduate students and to master and doctoral students who wish to assist in one of the Local Organizing Committees’ Secretariats from 21 June through 12 July. The scholarships we offer aim to offset the registration and living expenses for those who wish attend the IAMCR MADRID 2019.Congress as members of the team of volunteers.

The deadline to receive scholarship applications closes on 30 April, at 23.59 CEST.
Decisions in respect of all applications will be sent out by e-mail on 8 May.
Application for an LOC MADRID 2019 Intercontinental scholarship does not require the presentation of a paper during the IAMCR MADRID 2019 Congress. Please also note that this scholarship is incompatible with grants awarded by the International Association for Media and Communication Research.
Once the award of the scholarship has been confirmed, a letter of invitation will be sent to the awardee to facilitate obtaining a visa, should this be the case.
