We are thrilled to announce that IAMCR 2023 has received an outstanding number of abstract submissions from authors in 90 countries. More than 2,800 asbtracts were submitted by authors for presentation both online (OCP23) and in Lyon (Lyon23) and almost 1,000 for online presentation only, the latter indicating the continued interest in maintaining connections beyond physical presence.

This high volume of submissions presents a significant challenge for our organising committee, as we can only accommodate 1,200 participants for on-site presentations. Nevertheless, we remain committed to a rigorous and fair review process for all submissions.

Despite the challenges, the IAMCR 2023 conference promises to be one of the most diverse ever, providing opportunities, both online and offline, for scholars and researchers to share their research, engage in thought-provoking discussions, and connect with other individuals in the field.

To remind you of the next steps, the sections and working groups will complete their review of the submissions received and authors can expect to be informed of the decisions by 25 March. Registration will open soon afterwards. Authors invited to present in Lyon will have until 1 May to complete their registration and all authors will have to submit full papers by 5 June to be included in the programme.
