IAMCR honours Dipak De

Dipak De received the award from IAMCR president Janet Wasko

Professor Dipak De, a long-time IAMCR member and supporter, was presented with a Dedicated Contribution Award in a ceremony during the closing session of IAMCR's 2015 conference in Montreal.

Presenting the award, Janet Wasko, president of IAMCR, thanked Dipak for volunteering "his time, energy and resources to IAMCR for years, especially assisting with the financial auditing for the past ten years."

For his part, Dipak highlighted the fact that IAMCR's strength is based in the voluntary contributions of many people when he dedicated the award to "all of the members of IAMCR".

Dipak De is Professor and Head, Department of Extension Education, Institute of Agricultural Sciences, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, India. He completed his PhD at  Indian Agricultural Research Institute, having previously studied at the Indian Institute of Technology, New Delhi. Prof. De has published more than 65 research papers, written 10 book chapters, and authored 6 books. He is a former member of IAMCR's International Council.

IAMCR is supported by the voluntary contributions of many people, including some 75 Section and Working Group chairs and deputies, 30 members of its International Council, a five-member Executive, many members of various committees and task forces, and almost 2,000 active members of the association.
