At the business meeting, Philippe J. Maarek, Professor at University
Paris 12, France, was reelected Section Chair for a 4 years term,
according to IAMCR statutes, and has been confirmed at the following
General Assembly. In order to help with the increasing number of
members of the Political Communication Research Section, two
Vice-Presidents have also been elected, Dominic Wring, Senior Lecturer
from the University of Loughborough, and Maria-Jose Canel, Professor at
the University Complutense in Madrid.
