Our Sections and Working Groups, national and regional ambassadors, partner associations and universities may also organise or sponsor events. CfP for PhD Symposium in China

28-29 March, 2025 - IAMCR in collaboration with Xiaoling Zhang, our ambassador in China, will co-sponsor an International Symposium for PhD students and early-career scholars. The event is co-organized by Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU) and the Communication University of China (CUC). Submission deadline 15 December 2024.

Webinar on Open Access

5 December @14h00 UTC - The Publications Committee will be hosting the second in its round table series on open access. The webinar seeks to explore the practical aspects of open access publishing from the point of view of those at the center of our existing system - academic publishers. Register here.

2025 Abstract Workshop

9 January, 2025 - The Political Economy Section, along with guest panelist Peichi Chung (Chinese University of Hong Kong), will deliver an interactive workshop to help scholars prepare abstracts for the 2025 Singapore Conference. The session will cover topics such as evaluation criteria, reviewer roles, and the abstract selection process.

CfP for Digital Divide Symposium

17 April, 2025 - The Digital Divide Working Group in collaboration with the Mass Media Research Group at the University of Sharjah (UAE) invites submissions for a research symposium on "Digital Capital and Political Power" to be held on 17 April 2025 at the University of Sharjah. The deadline for submissions is 20 January 2025.
