UNICEF/IAMCR Communication for Development Research Fund

Funded by the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) and managed by the International Association for Media and Communication Research (IAMCR), the UNICEF/IAMCR Communication for Development Research Fund support research initiatives that advance our understanding of how Communication for Development (C4D) contributes to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The fund is open to early-career IAMCR members from low and middle income countries.

The fund will support two small research initiatives to be undertaken between November 2019 and May 2020 and two more in 2020/2021. Successful applicants will receive a first instalment of USD 2,500 in the first year, to contribute towards the operational cost to implement the research project, and USD 1,500 in the following year to support their attendance at the IAMCR conference to present their research report or paper.

The research supported will closely link with and contribute to the work of the Global Alliance for Social and Behaviour Change (GASBC).

The call for proposals for the first round of the UNICEF/IAMCR C4D fund will be published here soon.
