Sadia Jamil and Bruce Mutsvairo have been named as the new co-editors of IAMCR's Global Transformations in Media and Communication Research book series. They will take over from outgoing editors Claudia Padovani and Marjan De Bruin, who have been editing the series since its inauguration in 2014.

IAMCR’s International Council, Executive Board and the Council's Legal Committee have prepared a series of amendments of the IAMCR statutes. The proposed amendments will be placed on the agenda of the IAMCR General Assembly which will be held online on 16 July 2022.

7 June, 2022 -IAMCR's Communication Policy & Technology Section is pleased to announce an event to present the book “Concealing for Freedom: The Making of Encryption, Secure Messaging and Digital Liberties”, co-authored by Francesca Musiani and Ksenia Ermoshina.

The Political Communication Research Section issued its first newsletter with information of interest to its members. During the coming months, the section heads will primarily share relevant information about the upcoming online conference.

The Environment, Science & Risk Communication Working Group regularly issues newsletters with information of interest to its members. The current issue includes information about IAMCR 2022, a pre-conference event, awards and a call for papers for a special issue of Science Communication.

IAMCR will make several awards and grants available to its members in 2022. They include:
