Open Access and Democratisation of Knowledge
This is the second in a series of conversations the IAMCR Publications Commitee hopes to curate around the theme of open access and open science. The first webinar mapped the broad contours of the open science movement, and argued for a wider commitment to principles of knowledge sharing and dissemination. Watch the recording here.
In this webinar, we hope to unpack some of the thorny issues and the hopes around open access publishing - what would we like to see, and what are the limitations/constraints to achieving the ideal of diamond open access? What models seem to hold promise? What do different stakeholders - researchers, institutions, publishers, funders - have to bring to the table?
