Do I need a visa to attend IAMCR 2015?

To find out if you need a visa, visit Citizenship and Immigration Canada website. If you are transiting through the United States, they may also require a visa. See also the information about visas and passports on the local organising committee's website.

How can I get an official invitation letter for visa purposes?

Send an email to iamcr2015@uqam.ca with "Letter of Invitation" in the subject line. If possible, include the name of the paper you will present and the name of the section or working group where you will present it.

Where do I submit my full paper?

Upload your full paper at http://iamcr.org/submit2015 by 19 June.

Is it mandatory to submit a paper?

Each section and working group has its own practices. Most do not require you to submit your paper in advance of the conference. If in doubt, contact the head of the section or working group.

How much does it cost to register?

Registration fees depend on your country of residence, your professional status (student or not), whether or not you are a member, and when you register. See the complete list of fees at http://iamcr.org/congress/montreal2015/registerinfo

I am co-author of a paper. Do both authors have to register?

All participants must register for the conference, including co-authors and people who are not presenting. If only one author participates, only he or she has to register. If both attend the conference, both must register.

What date or time will my presentation be?

The draft programme is online at http://congresiamcr.uqam.ca/conference-en/program.html. All presentations will be during the parallel sessions between Monday July 13 at 09:00 and continuing until Friday July 16 at 16:00. Download a PDF with the detailed programe of all section and working group parallel presentations.

I am a PhD student representative member. How do I login to the site to register for the conference?

PhD student representatives are not issued a user account. All students -regardless of IAMCR membership status- pay reduced student registration fees. Just mark 'Student' in the 'Type of registration' section of the registration form and the corresponding student fee will apply.
