1/ IAMCR 2021 NAIROBI, PCR CALL FOR PAPERS
The Participatory Communication Research Section of the IAMCR invites the submission of proposals for single papers and multi-paper sessions (the online conference equivalent of a panel in a face to face conference) for IAMCR 2021, which will be held online from 11 to 15 July, 2021. The conference will also have a regional hub in Nairobi, Kenya. The abstract submission system has been open since 15 December and the deadline for submission is 9 February 2021, at 23:59 UTC. If you have a conference, a seminar, a publication, or any event that you think might be of interest to the PCR members, please feel free to send us the information, including images, to iamcr.pcr@gmail.com. The PCR Head will consider your proposals for announcement through our network.

5/ SEASON’S GREETINGS
2020 has been a challenging year in many different ways. The pandemic shook us in terms of public health, politics, economy and, of course, research and education. Although the new vaccines open the door to the possibility of being well, we cannot close our eyes to the uncertainties and inequalities, especially from the perspective of participation and social change. This season reminds us of the importance of hope. As Head of the PCR Section, Ana, Doris, Jonas, Arun, Piyu and Ana Lúcia, want to express our gratitude to the members for sharing this time with us, at the conferences and beyond them. Our best wishes to all of you. Season’s Greetings and a Happy New Year!

1/ CONVOCATORIA DE PONENCIAS PCR, IAMCR 2021 NAIROBI
La Sección de Investigación en Comunicación Participativa invita a presentar propuestas de ponencias y paneles para la IAMCR 2021, que se celebrará en línea del 11 al 15 de julio de 2021. La conferencia tendrá también un centro regional en Nairobi (Kenya). El sistema de presentación de resúmenes está abierto desde el 15 de diciembre y la fecha límite para enviarlos es el 9 de febrero de 2021, a las 23:59 UTC. 5/ ¡FELICES FIESTAS!
2020 ha sido un año desafiante de diferentes maneras. La pandemia nos sacudió en términos de salud pública, política, economía y, por supuesto, investigación y educación. Si bien las nuevas vacunas abren la puerta a la posibilidad de estar bien, no podemos cerrar los ojos a las incertidumbres y desigualdades, especialmente desde la perspectiva de participación y cambio social. Esta temporada nos recuerda la importancia de la esperanza. Como líderes de la Sección de Investigación en Comunicación Participativa, Ana, Doris, Jonas, Arun, Piyu y Ana Lúcia, queremos expresar nuestro agradecimiento a las y los integrantes por compartir este tiempo con nosotros, en las conferencias y más allá de ellas.
